Tank 500 Review: A Blend of Power and Luxury in an Impressive SUV Package

The GWM Tank 500 impresses with its commanding and muscular SUV appearance, which is quite rare among both domestic and foreign brands. Its front is robust, with a high engine hood, exuding a powerful and majestic aura. The large chrome-decorated grille, reminiscent of American cars, is particularly eye-catching.

The LED headlights, with their transparent covers and orderly arrangement, add to the vehicle's aesthetic appeal. The side view reveals a solid and secure presence, enhanced by chrome-decorated window frames and roof racks. Its dimensions are 4878x1934x1905mm with a 2850mm wheelbase, classifying it as a mid-to-large SUV.

The 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, also chrome-decorated, complement the SUV's grandeur. The Tank 500 sports Continental UC6 SUV tires, size 265/50 R20, and features an electric pedal, adding convenience for its size. Its rear design is square and robust, with a chrome strip connecting the tail lights, adding a luxurious feel. Some might find similarities with the Toyota Prado, but it's typical for off-road vehicles.

The Tank 500's chassis consists of a non-monocoque body, double-wishbone independent front suspension, and integral bridge independent rear suspension, typical of rugged off-road vehicles. Its four-wheel drive system includes low-speed four-wheel drive, tank turn, and front and rear differential locks.
